SEC GAMES W/ A FEW EXTRAS:
NC State vs. Vanderbilt (December 31, 11:00, ESPN)- James Franklin is ready to take this team to the next level. Vandy made a bowl this year and lost to an inferior team. They are ready to prove to everyone they are for real. I'll take Vandy in a typical Vandy game (ugly).
LSU vs. Clemson (December 31, 6:30, ESPN)- This is going to be hilarious. Clemson players are running their mouths while LSU sits back and waits. LSU is 2 or 3 plays away from playing the National Championship. This is an absolute nightmare matchup for Dabo Sweeny. Les Miles and his Tigers will destroy Clemson, but again, it will be fun to watch.
Mississippi State vs. Northwestern (January 1, 11:00, ESPN2)- This is actually the most even matchup of any bowl game involving SEC teams. Teams with similar seasons. If you like offense thisis your game to watch. I think the physical nature of life in the SEC is what will give the Bulldogs an advantage. I'll take Mississippi State in a tight ball game.
South Carolina vs. Michigan (January 1, 12:00, ESPN)- I'm watching this game to see if Jadeveon Clowney can get a clean hit on Denard Robinson. If so Denard may not make it :(
Georgia vs. Nebraska (January 1, 12:00, ABC)- The last time we saw Nebraska they were getting DESTROYED by a team with 5 losses in a crappy conference. The last time we saw Georgia they were going toe to toe with the best team in the county and were but seconds away from being in the National Championship game. This will be a blow out and the rest of the county will continue to hate the SEC.
Wisconsin vs. Stanford (January 1, 4:00, ESPN)- Wisconsin doesn't have a head coach and lost 5 games this year. Stanford will win in a blowout in what mightbe the worst Rose Bowl of all time. Congrats BCS.
Northern Illinois vs. Florida State (January 1, 7:30, ESPN)- Now this is not a knock on NIU, because they are a by product of a very flawed system but HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.
Louisville vs. Florida (January 2, 7:30, ESPN)- Giant mismatch. Florida struggled with a few games late in the season due to injury. Given time to get these players healthy this really isn't a fair match up. Florida in a blow out.
Oregon vs. Kansas State (January 3, 7:00, ESPN)- This matchup is what many believed, 10 weeks into the season would be the National Championship game. But after 2 giant disappointments, these two find themselves in Arizona. I expect a lot of scoring in this games. But the Ducks just have too much fire power to stop with any kind of consistency. I'll take Oregon in a high scoring game.
Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma (January 4, 7:00, FOX)- A fun matchup against former Big-12 rivalries. This time around, though, A&M comes in as a completely new team. The SEC has them prepared to physically outdo the Sooners. That and a Heisman winning QB that no one knows how to contain lead the Aggies into a victory and a top 10 final ranking.
Pittsburgh vs. Ole Miss (January 5, 12:00, ESPN)- I think this is the biggest mis-match of any SEC team in a bowl game. Ole Miss will dominate from finish to end and roll in to next season with all the momentum in the world. Touché, Coach Freeze. You proved a lot of people (including myself) wrong.
WARNING: OLE MISS FANS, THE STADIUM YOU ARE GOING TO IS ONE OF THE WORST IN THE COUNTRY AND HALF OF IT IS CONDEMNED. BE CAREFUL AND WIN THAT PARTY.
Notre Dame vs. Alabama (January 7, 7:30, ESPN)- What a great matchup. I know people, especially pro-SEC people, will say that the Irish are lucky to even be here, but fact is they earned it. But let's make no mistake about it, this WILL be the best team they have faced all year. Skill wise, I think the Tide and Irish match up very well. There is one position group that i think will set this game apart and that is the Alabama offensive line. These guys are absolute animals. And with the 2 stud running backs that Alabama have, this could be a long day for Notre Dame. Emotions and a long lay off keep this game close, but Nick Saban will do his thing in the second half and claim back-to-back titles and 3 in 4 years. Wow...
